FL Road Trip Part 4 (EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and more Disney Springs)

EPCOT day was also Halloween, so the girls wore their costumes to EPCOT.  Our friend Steph swapped out Kaitlyn's generic "Fire Department" t-shirt for a Portland PD one which Kaitlyn loved!

We started out EPCOT day in France.  While we were getting ready for the day, our friend Jim Linsky was busy on the computer scoring us a riding group for the new Remy/ Ratatouille ride (it's a virtual que only) and boy did he come through!  His fast fingers got us the first boarding group and we were able to walk right on with no wait!  The ride is so popular that even getting on the computer early in the morning doesn't guarantee you will be able to get a spot.

Once we got off the ride, we split a couple of crepes for breakfast.

We then decided to go our separate ways for a bit so Kaitlyn could do some rides.  Daddy and Kenzie went for a walk and set out on a mission to find every Disney photographer in World Showcase, hahaha.

Before we left France though, we briefly bumped into each other again and we photobombed Daddy and Kenzie's picture.

While Kaitlyn and I were speed walking to Soarin before the line became ridiculously long, we ran into Pooh!

After Soarin, we headed to Mission Space.  This trip I managed to convince her to do the more intense version of the ride.  While she was nervous at fist, she ended up LOVING it!

Remember how I said Kevin and Kenzie were on a photo mission?

We met up again for lunch at the new Space 220 Restaurant.  It was pretty cool.  You took an "elevator" up 220 miles and ate on a "space station".

The view out the "windows" was always changing.  Sometimes you would see someone on a spacewalk or a spacecraft flying by (the attention to detail was incredible!).  When Kaitlyn mentioned the spacecraft, the server said it was actually the same kind of spacecraft that you "fly" on in the Mission Space Ride!  We were even told that as the day progresses, the earth moves in the windows as the space station's orbit changes!

Heading back down to Earth...

Next up was the Finding Nemo ride...

And then Living with the Land...

Then we headed out to eat our way around the world!  It was Food and Wine Festival while we were there... as if I needed another reason to eat.  Honestly, do people even go to EPCOT for reasons other than food?

Naturally I was eating in Germany (Apple Strudel with Vanilla Sauce and Schofferhofer Wild Cherry Hefeweizen)

In Morocco, we saw Princess Jasmine

In France we saw Belle

And I ate a croissant aux escargot.

We finished up with dinner in the UK.

Kaitlyn got a present to prepare her for the next day

And we had a special Halloween dessert

On Hollywood Studios day, Kaitlyn and I started out by riding the new Mickey and Minnie ride.  I really enjoyed it, but for the type of ride it was I was surprised it wasn't wheelchair accessible because Kenzie would have loved it!

Afterwards, we met up with Daddy and Kenz in Toy Story Land.

I had to take a picture.  So many good memories playing cootie at Grandma's!

Then to Kaitlyn's excitement, we headed to Galaxy's Edge.

While Kaitlyn and I went on the rides, Daddy and Kenzie walked around.

Kenzie liked the Frozen Sing A Long

Then we met for lunch at Minnie's Halloween Dine

Kaitlyn was thrilled to get another birthday cupcake.

After lunch we headed back towards Galaxy's Edge for Kaitlyn's big birthday surprise!

Light Saber time!

Afterwards, we left the park and headed back to Disney Springs to pick up a few last minute things including the all important Mickey bar.
