Memorial Day

Happy Memorial Day everyone, and welcome to summer. Kevin worked til 10 this morning, but afterwards we went out to Fort Williams Park in Cape Elizabeth and spent some time showing Kaitlyn the ocean and the lighthouse. Below are some pictures, and we hope to get to the beach next weekend. We have 2-3 beaches just down the road from our apartment. We'll post pictures then of Kaitlyn's first trip to the beach.

6 Month Check-Up

Kaitlyn had her 6 month-check up this week. She's now 15 lbs 8 oz and she grew 2 inches! She's in the 50 %ile for her weight and head circumfrence, but 93 %ile for height. She got a shot in each leg, which of course, she didn't like! One of the nurses called her the Gerber baby, because she was so cute!

Mother's Day

For Mother's Day, Kaitlyn "made" me a magnet at day care. Her teacher said this was as close to a smile as they could get out of her. Everytime they brought out the camera she stopped smiling!

Kevin and Kaitlyn made me a special card...

... then took me to lunch at Bugaboo.

Kaitlyn's First Sporting Event

A few weeks ago, we brought Kaitlyn to her first hockey game. We saw the Portland Pirates play the Providence Bruins. We lost, but Kaitlyn really seemed to enjoy it. We went to a few games when I was pregnant and everytime people cheered, Kaitlyn would start kicking. This time, whenever people cheered, Kaitlyn started "cheering" too... except for the second period, somehow she managed to sleep through that!

She couldn't decide whether to watch the "live action" (we were only two rows back from the ice) or the jumbotron...
