Fire Safety Week

It is Fire Safety Week.  South Portland Fire and Police had their annual open house. Both girls had so much fun!

Meeting K-9 Tucker...

Kaitlyn has decided to join SWAT, haha.

Getting ready for the obstacle course.  I am so upset the video I took did not save!  She carried the hose, crawled through the tunnel, did the body drag, and used the hose to put out the "fire".

The Kenzie and Slugger reunion!  They both looked so surprised and happy to see each other.  There was instant recognition on both sides and lots of hugs and high fives!

Kaitlyn is going to be part of the recruitment team for Daddy, haha.

This little girl loves fire trucks!

Then we headed over the bridge into Portland to visit the fire museum!

The girls enjoyed seeing how dispatch used to work.  This was only a couple of years before Daddy's time.  After all, he he going to be 40 this year, hahaha.

Obviously the horses were the biggest hit!

Then we got home, where the girls discovered Daddy had signed them up for the Bruins Kids Club!  They got a pencil case, pencils, stickers, etc.

Kenzie Excursions

Kenzie has been a busy little girl!  Kenzie represented The Barbara Bush Children's Hospital at the LAX 4 Life Event.  This is an annual event to raise money for the Children's Hospital.  It was hosted by the University of New England.  Kenzie was asked to be the honorary team captain for the women's lacrosse team.  She had a blast watching the game from the field, doing the coin toss, and participating in their pre-game circle and cheer.  The girls seemed to fall in love with her.  Several now follow her Facebook page.  We look forward to going back and cheering them on at some future games!

Earlier this week, Kenzie went on her first ever field trip!  The pre-k class went apple picking!  By all accounts she loved it!  We're so grateful to the Morrison for providing the pictures!  She even brought a little bag of the apples she picked home.  It was obviously hard work though!

Red Sox Game

We were so blessed to check off an item on Kenzie's bucket list...  a Red Sox game at Fenway!  Slugger and the Sea Dogs organization provided us with accessible tickets to a recent game.  We all had so much fun!

The tickets even said "From Slugger" 💓

Because one simply does not go to Fenway and not eat a Fenway Frank.  And Kenzie ate the entire foot-long one!

Loving on the Wally stuffie Daddy bought her...

Someone had a great game!

First Days of School and Sea Dogs

This is Kaitlyn's last year at the intermediate school. Next year she will be off to middle school!  I am not ready!

This is also Kenzie's last year at her school.  Next year she will start kindergarten and more than likely move to the Scarborough Public School System.

Kenzie was very sad to see the Sea Dogs' season come to an end.  She will miss her Slugger!
