Happy 5th Birthday Kenzie!

We've had a busy 3 day celebration of our big girl!  We kicked it off Saturday with lunch at Longhorn with Mammy.  Our waitress was pretty awesome and took a picture of our table which she printed off and presented to us.  Then she gave us a birthday card signed by the staff.  When we told her how much Kenzie loved the bread there, she brought us a fresh from the oven loaf to take home and an unbaked one we could freeze and cook later.  And of course, there was singing (well birthday chanting) and ice cream with whipped cream!

Then it was off to the Sea Dogs game!

Sunday morning we headed to Hadlock for an autograph session with the players, followed by a game...

 

Kevin is off with Kenzie all week while she is on school vacation.  I was able to take today off as well to spend the day with our birthday girl.  We kept a pretty low key day with some special treats sprinkled in...  blueberry pancakes for breakfast, a special birthday shirt, some Disney Jr., a couple quick errands, a snack at The Holy Donut, and playing with toys.  

 
We had an early dinner at Texas Roadhouse. Then home for cake and presents.

I was so happy to see how excited Kenzie was about presents this year! She tore right into everything... only needed a helping hand to hold the bag in place while she pulled out the paper!

Thank you to everyone who sent cards!  We are going to do a fun weekend in Boston next month to continue the birthday celebration for Kenzie!

I had planned to make Kenzie's cake this year, but my hand is still healing and there was no way I was going to be squeezing a piping bag!  She really enjoys watching Finding Nemo- so we ordered this cake from Hannafords!
