Happy Holidays!

For Christmas this year, we were lucky enough to get down to Florida.  Of course, no trip south is complete without a stop in Hershey and Chocolate World!

This year's gingerbread house was modeled after Milton Hershey's house!

Then we kept trucking south.  Here's Kenzie in her natural state...

Making love eyes at Bingo- the Puppy Dogs Pal toy she got at the PD Christmas party.

We got to spend some time with the Spring Hill family. We had a fun lunch at Aunt Marybeth's.  The girls loved playing with their cousins!

Then it was off to Oma and Opas.  Where we even got a brief surprise visit with Uncle Mike and Aunt Diana.  Kaitlyn loved her baking themed presents!  And Kenzie is my little book lover!

Oma and Opa let them open a present early too...  This one was my first clue that they had forgotten we had to fit everything in the car and load and unload said car multiple times, hahahaha.

Monday morning while Oma and Opa were at work, we went to Dinosaur World.

Kenzie was fascinated.

Kaitlyn was nervous.  She wouldn't get any closer.

Both girls enjoyed digging for fossils.

Kaitlyn mined for gems.

I realized later, my hair color matches the dinosaur, haha.

Kenzie's favorite was the mammoths.  Here she is signing "more".

My future archaeologist was not content to watch her sister.  She wanted to get down and dirty too.  She signed more and pointed at the sand, until we got her out and let her "run" around.

The girls also got to touch a fragment of a real dinosaur fossil.  Kaitlyn also touched the fossilized dino poop before the guy told her what it was, hahaha.

I love how Kenzie's like 'oh hey, whatcha doing up there' in this picture, hahaha.

We stopped at Smokey Bones for lunch

where the four of us split this amazing concoction!

We got a super brief visit with Aunt Pam too!

The girls loved all their presents!

Went for a walk around the neighborhood and saw an alligator.

The day before we left, we had lunch with Opa and Grandma!

Kaitlyn was awed by her pineapple drink!

On the way home, we had another overnight in Hershey.  This time we got into town early enough for dinner at our favorite restaurant.

We split this yummy Smores ice cream cake for dessert!

On New Year's Eve, we went to Uno's for dinner.  You can't beat free kids meals!  And they had an early balloon drop for the kids and ginger ale toasts.

On New Year's Day, we went to Mammy's to open more Christmas presents from family (and bring home Frozen).

Kenzie approved!  Clapping for Vampirina!

This was the point Kenzie caught a little glimpse of Mickey.  Her whole body shook and she started tearing the paper quicker than I have ever seen!

And this is real she realized he danced and sang!

More Kenzie approval!

Kaitlyn was so excited... she kept telling me how she saw it in the store and wanted it so bad and she couldn't believe we got it!

Obviously Aunt Cassandra nailed this present!

Daddy's birthday present from Mammy!

Kaitlyn's big present from us this year was on back order and arrived late.  She loved it so much she didn't care at all!  And that thing has so many pieces we might not see her for months, haha

Next up, Kenzie has a DMO suit fitting in Waltham, MA and her day surgery for botox and phenol injections in Boston.  We will also be attending an amazing fundraiser that the Firefighters' Union is putting on for Kenzie at the end of the month.
