We got the results back from Kenzie's genetics tests. They ran two panels. One was a generic panel and one was specific to known causes of microcephaly. Both came back normal, thank God! At this time there is no known cause for her small head size and developmental delays.
On Thursday, she was measured for her leg braces. They will come in about 2-3 weeks from now. At that point, we will get instructions on how often she needs to wear them and what type of shoes she should wear them with, etc.
Today she had amazing day at PT. It's been a rough past few weeks with a very cranky Kenzie. Today though, she finally showed off her pull-to-stand and let Miss Amy fully stretch out her legs.
Next week is her next follow up with the ophthalmologist. That will be the point we will find out how successful the surgery was.
