Last Weekend

This past weekend was a fun, but busy one.  We started out with Touch-A-Truck.  While the girls loved seeing everything, the fire trucks were the biggest hit, of course!  Kenzie literally grabbed the door on the engine and wouldn't let go!  Saturday night we went to the Maine Mammoths game.  One of Daddy's coworkers gave Kenzie a Portland PD sticker and we joked about having to cover up the Fire Department one she got earlier at Touch-A-Truck!

Kaitlyn has been participating in Girls on the Run this Spring after school.  Sunday was their end of season 5K.  Kaitlyn loved the face painting and the colored hair spray!

I don't know if it's a chain-wide thing, but our Texas Roadhouse up here does kids events during the summer.  On Tuesdays they have 99 cent kids meals and then some kind of activity.  This past Tuesday, was Police and Fire Day.  Kaitlyn knew the police officer who was there from school.  He runs the D.A.R.E. program in the classroom next to hers.  Kaitlyn was also very excited to sit in the fire truck again (told you our kids were obsessed!).  One of the firefighters recognized Kenzie.   Both girls got bags filled with fun stuff.
