Vermont Trip

A couple of weeks ago, was Homecoming at Lyndon State.  It was also my 10 year college reunion (eek!).  We thought the place where Mommy and Daddy met would be an appropriate first trip out of state for Kenzie.

Deja Vu… this was Kaitlyn a few years ago!

The bookstore didn’t have any onsies small enough for Kenzie, so she will be sporting this one in a few months!

Kaitlyn told us this trip that she is going to college here too.  I am so not ready  to think about either of the girls going to college!

1 Month Old

I can’t believe Kenzie is already one month old and that I will be heading back to work next week.

A big thank you to Aunt Susan, Uncle Bill and cousins for Kenzie’s personalized blanket.  We love it!!!

The Girls’ Rooms

Now that everyone knows Kenzie’s name, I can post pictures of her room without the name art giving it away .  Kaitlyn and I did all the artwork for Kenzie’s walls (except for the name art and the flower hairclip holder).  Some of it is pictures from Kaitlyn’s coloring books and some is Kaitlyn’s handprints and footprints that we turned into “animal” pictures.  The flower hair clip holder and the hairclips on it were made by one of my friends who I have known since elementary school!  Kaitlyn has one in her room as well.

And here is Kaitlyn’s “big girl room” which used to be our guest room.  She loves her bunk beds!

Apple Picking

Kaitlyn was very excited to have Kenzie on our annual apple picking trip.  We came home with 3 huge bags of apples which I started turning into apple sauce and canning this morning.

Kenzie’s First Sea Dogs Game

The Sea Dogs actually made the playoffs this year, so Kenzie was able to go to her first game this season!  We were excited that they won while we were there, but unfortunately they lost the series and are now out of the playoffs

 

I have no idea how Kenzie got herself in this position, but she loves to curl up like this.  I hurt just looking at her!

Kenzie’s Check-Up

Kenzie has had two check ups with her pediatrician and is doing well.  At her 1week appointment, she was down to 8 pounds, but there was no heart murmur.   At her 2 week check-up a few days ago, the little piggy was up to 8.7 pounds and 21 inches long.  Again, the doctor couldn’t hear a heart murmur so it looks like we don’t have to worry about that any more.  She is having a bit of a reflux issue.  If that doesn’t improve by her next check-up, the doctor may consider prescribing her something to help with it.  Her next appointment will be her 1 month checkup.

Kaitlyn’s First Day of Kindergarten

 

Kaitlyn had a great first day at school.  She told us that there is a fish tank in her classroom and they had a class cheer.  We are also already making an impression.  Her teacher told Kevin that Kaitlyn told her “Mommy got water all over the place and that meant the baby was coming”!
