Happy Easter!

This year has been an extra-special Easter for us. Not only is it Kaitlyn's first Easter, but last night Kevin was baptized in the Catholic Church, received his first Communion and was Confirmed. Kevin's been coming to Mass with me for years, but now he's "official"...

Trip to Miami

We are getting settled back in after a great trip to Miami. Kevin and I of course hated going back to work. Kaitlyn didn't seem to mind heading back to daycare, although the trip must have worn her out. The next day, she took several mini-naps throughout the day and then one giant 3 hour nap in the afternoon. She probably would have kept sleeping if I hadn't arrived to pick her up!

Here are some of our favorite pictures from the trip...

4 Month Check-Up

Well, Kaitlyn had her 4 month check-up this past Wednesday and she did great! She's very good at letting Dr. Foster look in her ears and poke her tummy. Not such a fan of the shots though! She did her "angry" cry for a couple of minutes, which then turned in to her "pitiful, don't you feel sorry for me cry" until she feel asleep in the car on the way home.

Kaitlyn is now 13.4 pounds, which is the 47 %tile (seems so much smaller after her being 9.3 pounds and the 82%tile at birth!). Her head circumference is 16 inches, which is the 41%tile... explains why all her 0-3 month hats are still huge on her. Kevin and I tried putting a "newborn" size hat on her head in Babies R Us the other day and it came all the way down to her chin! Finally, she is 25.7 inches long, 94%tile... nice and tall just like Mommy and Daddy!

Dr. Foster also said we could start feeding her cereal and we could start trying bananas and applesauce. It's been an interesting experience to say the least. Today, day 4, of "real" food has gone a bit better. She's definitely not a big fan of the cereal, but she loves the bananas! Here's a picture of her on day 2 of feeding. This was an improvement over the first day, but I still think she ended up wearing most of it!

On February 22ND, Kaitlyn was baptised at St Josephs in Portland. Below are some pictures of the event, and we hope to be receiving a few more that we'll post at a later time.

Caribou

A busy week and a half or so for us, with lots going on. Valentines Day weekend we traveled up to Caribou for the weekend, and spent time with family. It was great time. Below are some pictures of family.

Valentine's Day

I have to take this opportunity to brag about how advanced my 3 month old is. She's probably a little genius. She has apparently figured out not only how to use the Internet, but Daddy's credit card as well (YIKES!). She does have excellent taste though! Kaitlyn ordered me a "bouquet" of chocolate-dipped strawberries from Edible Arrangements.

Kaitlyn also "made" her dad and I a Valentine's card at day care. They inked her feet and put her feet prints on it. It's so cute.

We are spending the weekend up in Caribou. Kevin will post some of those pictures later in the week, since we'll be heading back to Portland tomorrow afternoon. In the meantime, Kaitlyn is in bed. So, I am off to watch The Amazing Race with Kevin.
