We hope everyone had a Happy Halloween filled with lots of Reese Peanut Butter Cups! We had a great time trick-or-treating. The LEND student that was assigned to our family, Audrey, came with us. Kenzie really enjoyed the houses that were decorated and pointed them all out to us. By the end of the night she was waving at everyone after they answered the door! Everyone is tired today, so the girls went to bed a bit early (Kaitlyn particularly was cranky).
We wanted to share with you our annual Fall and Halloween pictures. Miss Tracey worked her magic again. She loved that Kaitlyn was dressed as Hermione, and she got out some of her Harry Potter props. The wand is Kaitlyn's from Universal. Little Miss Kenzie was a stinker and refused to wear the cute antennas from her ladybug costume.

Fall Fun
Yesterday we took our annual Fall leaves photos. Kenzie loves the leaves. She giggles every time someone walks through them and they "crunch".
In the afternoon the girls painted the pumpkins they picked out while we were in The County. Both girls had a blast, but I wasn't able to get any "in progress" pictures of Kenzie's. It took both me and Kevin to make sure she didn't get any paint on the demo chair that we have to return. And I just realized while importing the pumpkin pictures, that I never got a picture of the face Kaitlyn painted on the front of her pumpkin. Doh!
Today we took our Fall and Halloween pictures with Miss Tracey, so look for them in a week or two!

Kenzie's Second Round of Injections
On Friday we were back down in Boston at the Children's Hospital so Kenzie could get her next round of botox and phenol injections in her legs. The initial round she got has really worn off and she has become really tight in her legs and hamstrings.
Once again it was like she knew it was coming, and didn't sleep well the night before, but she was the first person into day surgery that day (and the first out!). Kenzie was generally very cranky and not wanting to play nice with the doctors, but they did play her favorite song, Wannabe, by the Spice Girls as she was being put under anesthesia. Once Kenzie was moved to post op, we found her again by following the screams. She was the only kid that had been brought back from the OR so far, but she was very unhappy. She kept pointing at her chair as if to say get me out of here. With some pain meds on board, Kenzie was released fairly quickly, as it was clear she did not want to stay. We attempted to feed Kenzie some pancakes upstairs, but she would have none of it, so instead we settled on the gift shop where she picked up a Halloween book and a balloon. For those that don't know. Kenzie loves being read to, and loves loves loves balloons!!!
All in all Kenzie did well, we can already feel the effect the injections have had on loosening her muscles and hamstrings in her legs. We will have a followup in a little over a month or so, and see where we are going from there!!

Columbus Day Weekend
We just got back from our annual Columbus Day Weekend trip to Presque Isle/ Caribou. We had a great time seeing family.
On Saturday, we had breakfast at Aunt Diane and Roger's house. The girls loved playing with their 9 month old puppies.
Then it was off to Goughan's Farm for some corn maze, pumpkin ice cream, and picking out our pumpkins.
That night we went to the wedding of one of Kevin's cousins. Kaitlyn had fun dancing with Aunt Cassandra and Kenzie loved the cake!
Kenzie crashed hard that night!
The next day, we took a drive around the former Loring Air Force Base. It's really sad how much has been torn down and overgrown, but some things are still there.
Afterward, we went by Hannaford and saw Aunt Diane. She gave the girls balloons. Kenzie couldn't have been happier!
Then it was off to lunch at Aunt Linda and Marie's. They gave the girls fun Halloween bags. Kaitlyn loved her glasses.
Kaitlyn showed off her swimming skills in the afternoon. She's come so far. She used to be scared to put her head in the water, so she'd tense up and sink. A year later and she's floating like a pro!
Finally it was off to dinner at Governor's where we admired the cream puffs for Aunt Pam!
Before heading home on Monday, we decided to take a drive to get some poutine for lunch and look for moose.
Had to have my Timmy's every day! Gotta tide me over until next trip north!
