Transatlantic Cruise (5/31 - 6/1)

Our first port was Malaga, Spain!

Kaitlyn and I went on a shore excursion which visited Pablo Picasso's birthplace, the excavated ruins of a Roman amphitheater, the Arabic Fortress of Alcazabra, and a local restaurant to sample the local sherry.

Below are pictures of Picasso's birthplace-

Alcazabra (an Arabic fortress)

Drinking the local sherry (Kaitlyn actually drank water, but took a picture with my glass, hahaha)

The Roman Amphitheater

While we were on tour, Kenzie and Kevin made their way to the city center.

After our tour, we all met downtown.  We had tapas and Sangria- the waiter asked if we wanted 3 glasses (how old does Kaitlyn look?!?!?)

We toured the cathedral after a stop for gelato!

Then we slowly wandered back towards the ship...

That night we had dinner at Il Viaggio on board.  Our waitress was amazing!  She even made Kenzie a duck out of a napkin to play with!

Pretty sure our Kenz was the first kid to eat in Il Viaggio.  All the waitstaff were very excited when she came in.  The chef himself brought out her dessert- this adorable unicorn!

Also while we were at Il Viaggio, we once again ran into Carnival President Christine Duffy.  She got a kick out of Kenzie's wheelchair sign which reads "Kenzie's Fun Ship".  While we were leaving, we saw Emeril seated at a table with his family.  The 14 year old, who apparently still hasn't learned to whisper, whisper-yelled "It's Emeril!).  Obviously he heard her, but was nice enough to wave at her.

The next day we were in Gibraltar!

Kaitlyn and I went to Europa Point- the southernmost point of Gibraltar.

Then we visited St. Michael's Cave.

Kaitlyn with the mountains of Morocco in the distance-

Then we visited Ape's Den

Kevin and Kenz got off the ship and headed towards the city center where we met after our tour.

We had lunch at a cute pub!

Back on board and sailing past Europa Point

Morocco!  We were close enough to see the buildings at the base of the mountain!
