We hope everyone had a wonderful St. Patrick’s Day filled with lots of yummy corned beef and beer! I may be biased but I think I have the two cutest little leprechauns!

Hershey
For Valentine’s Weekend we took a hockey road trip to Pennsylvania. We spent our first night in Wilkes-Barre, PA where our Pirates played the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins. Most of our best players including our goalie and two top scorers had been called up by the Arizona Coyotes, so of course we ended up losing
.
The next morning we drove down to Hershey. Kevin booked me a couple of treatments at the Hershey Spa for Valentine’s Day. While he wrangled the girls, I enjoyed a whipped chocolate bath followed by their Signature Chocolate Facial.
For lunch we headed to the Bears Den- our favorite restaurant in town.
After that it was game time! Coco took a picture with us even though we were the enemy ![]()
The Pirates lost again, but we had still had a lot of fun! It figures, they are playing in Hershey again tonight and they win 5-1 when we aren’t there!
The next morning we bundled up and headed to Zoo America for a couple of hours.
Kevin’s grown a bit too, haha!
Kaitlyn and the wolf kept running back and forth with each other.
That afternoon we were off to Chocolate World!
Kaitlyn had been talking about how much she wanted to go to Hershey and make her own candy bar. Of course, at Create Your Own Candy Bar everyone has to wear aprons and hair nets. Even Kenzie had to wear a hair net, but since they didn’t have any small enough for her, they put a beard net on her instead!

6 Months
While I do have another blog post or two to catch up on, I wanted to let everyone know how Kenzie’s doctor’s appointment went today.
- Head circumference 16” ( 12th percentile)
- Weight: 14.4 lbs (16th percentile)
- Length: 25.5 inches (33rd percentile)
She was lower end at her 4th month checkup too, but since that last checkup her numbers have dropped even further (she dropped from 60th to 33rd percentile in 2 months for length. The doctor wants us to try to increase her caloric intake some more. Not sure how we are going to do that. The kid has no problem eating and downs 2 of the Gerber baby food containers in one sitting! She’s just not growing quickly enough. We will be going back for a weight check in 6 weeks. Hopefully she pack on a bit of weight.
I also learned that there is such a thing as baby physical therapy because Kenzie will be going. Things always get interesting when the doctor asks if they can bring the Med student in. Kenzie has congenital torticollis. Basically she was scrunched up in utero. Her neck muscles on one side are tense and contracting while the other side is looser and longer. So she currently has a permanent tilt of the head to her left. I never even really noticed it til the doctor said something and tried to get her to straighten her head. Now that he’s mentioned it, I realize that yup it’s always tilted and her pictures that I scrolled through on the computer prove it. Apparently one of the things associated with it is severe reflux, which Kenzie has. She has been referred to a pediatric physical therapist who will help her with her neck muscles. The therapist is also going to work with Kenzie on her hips as the pediatrician says they are tight.
The poor thing ended up with three shots and an oral vaccine so she is currently passed out right now. After all that news here’s your dose of Kenzie cuteness- head tilt and all!
