North Woods Law/ Maine Day

The Sea Dogs recently hosted North Woods Law Day and Maine Day.  We love watching North Woods Law on TV, so we were really hoping to get tickets for this game.  For those of you not familiar with the show, it is a reality series on Animal Planet that follows the Maine Game Wardens.

For the “Maine Day” portion of the game, the concession stands were offering Maine food that they don’t usually carry.  I had a lobster roll for dinner.

Kevin had some Moxie.  I guess I am now a true Mainer as I finally tried some too.

When Slugger the Sea Dog arrived on his little tractor in the bottom of the first, he got an unexpected surprise.  Warden Curtis pulled him over, frisked him, and “arrested” him.  So cute!

And the Maine food continues…  Kaitlyn loves her whoopie pies!

By the end of the night, we’d gotten almost everyone’s autograph.  We are really looking forward to the show coming back in the fall.  Their film crew was at the game, so we will have to see if we make the show!

The Yarmouth Clam Festival

Kaitlyn asked for the “ponycorn” face painting.  She said she wanted lots of colors on it.

Ride time!  Of course it’s not as much fun without Uncle Robert and Loren as ride partners!

Kaitlyn begged to go on the swings.  She just barely made it on!  She was maybe an 1/8” over the minimum height.  She’s lucky she’s so tall!

Kaitlyn and this little girl became fast friends.  They met on one ride and ended up on line for this one together.  They held hands while boarding and sat together.

Strawberry Picking

Kevin took us city girls strawberry picking for the first time.  It was a lot of fun.  I’m going to try making strawberry jam for the first time soon.

Happy 4th of July!

We had great day at home until Kevin had to go to work.  Kevin made some yummy food on the grill and Grammy brought her yummy potato and egg salad.  My contribution was this Jell-O swirl cake iced with whipped cream that I found on, of course, Pinterest!  Have I mentioned that I love Pinterest?  Kaitlyn helped me make it.  She loved putting the sprinkles on top.
