Watching these, you’d never know that Kaitlyn is still singing these songs at the top of her lungs every day!
Here’s her class “singing” Little Drummer Boy…
This one is the whole school singing Jingle Bells….

Today was Kaitlyn’s first visit to the dentist. She did awesome! She loved wearing the sunglasses they gave her for the bright light. She opened her mouth immediately when the hygienist and the dentist asked her to. She thought the brushing “tickled”. When the hygienist asked her how old she was, she answered “3”. She also answered 3 when she was told they were going to count her teeth and asked how many teeth she thought she had. She chose grape flavored toothpaste and bubblegum flavored fluoride. She doesn’t have any cavities, but she does have a cross bite. So, the great word “orthodontist” was mentioned for down the road. She was told she was a great patient and got to pick out two prizes when we left. She also picked out a Pooh toothbrush for home.
This year, the Sea Dogs hosted their first annual Holidays at Hadlock. They opened up Hadlock Field for horse and carriage rides. There was hot chocolate and cookies. We made smores and ornaments out of game used baseballs. And Santa arrived by helicopter. Best of all, it was all free!

Kevin works with Santa’s “elf”. We told Kaitlyn, see the elf knows Daddy’s name so Santa really knows whether you are being naughty or nice…
Santa greeting all the kids after his arrival. Kaitlyn is still talking about Santa telling her she had a nice hat and pretty eyes…
Hopefully they’ll do this again next year. It was a lot of fun!
Those of you who know me well, know I can’t cook at all. But I do love to bake. All those apples we picked a couple of months ago, here are a few of the projects that came out of them…
Apple Pie (it’s hard to tell in the picture, but those are ghost cutouts on the pie for Halloween)
I made a few other things as well, like homemade applesauce and apple bread, but I forgot to take pictures of those. I’m now well into pumpkin themed projects. So far, work has gotten some of the pumpkin chocolate chip cookies and I made pumpkin mousse cups.
I also have a recipe from SeaWorld's face book page of all places for pumpkin cupcakes with cinnamon frosting that I made for Thanksgiving...
Let the Christmas Cookie Baking begin…
A few days ago, Kaitlyn had her 3 year check up. She is doing great! She is now 37 lbs and 38 inches tall (for those keeping track, that means she has grown 4 inches and gained 7 lbs in the last year!). She wouldn’t do the vision-portion of the exam, but I wasn’t too concerned about that. I’m not sure how she ended up with good vision, I would have thought that between my horrible vision and Kevin’s she’d be screwed and wearing glasses already. However, I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone with better vision, she sees everything! She also got two shots. The nurses were shocked that she didn’t cry at all, but this is the girl who got a needle and stitches in her lip without so much as a tear!
Kaitlyn’s birthday festivities started off when she brought cupcakes into daycare on Thursday. Off course, she also woke me up at 5 AM that morning to tell me she wanted to go to school and eat her flower…
This morning we took Kaitlyn to the Children’s Museum. She was a little unsure at first, but then she had a blast running around.

Playing at the Ranger Station…
Afterwards, we went to Bugaboo Creek for dinner. Kaitlyn loved the “animals” as usual. However, she was very upset that the stuffed buffalo wasn’t saying “happy birthday” to her whenever it talked. She wasn’t sure what to do when the staff came over to sing to her.
The birthday girl is supposed to kiss the moose, but Kaitlyn wouldn’t even touch it…
Afterwards we went home and opened presents.
For the past month Kaitlyn has been telling me that she wanted a Scooby cake. So, I spent a couple of hours last night making her wish come true…
This is right after Kaitlyn saw the cake for the first time…
Trying to blow out the candle…
My favorite part of the night was when Kaitlyn told me the cake was yummy and she loved her cake. It made the four hours I spent on it totally worth it!
Afterwards we went to Mammy’s house to open one last present…
So, that’s all the pictures. I have a couple of videos to post as well, but those take forever and a day to upload. I will try to get to it later this weekend or coming week. Hope everyone else had a great day too!
